EY Malaysia Implements SAP Customer Experience Solutions

Ernst & Young Advisory Services Sdn Bhd (EY Malaysia) has implemented an application developed by SAP for government-linked companies and the government-linked investment companies disaster response network (“GDRN”) in support of Malaysia’s battle against the Covid-19 pandemic.

The SAP Customer Experience solutions, which include SAP Sales & Service Cloud, were implemented by EY Malaysia and delivered to GDRN within a week.


They aim to provide optimum logistical support and response to organisations working to assist Malaysia’s Ministry of Health (MoH) supply ventilators and protective equipment to hospitals as well as other health-related organisations under its wings.

The application would also be instrumental in channelling pledges from institutions and individuals looking to contribute hospital-related items via an integrated platform.

Yayasan Hasanah managing director Shahira Ahmed Bazari (main pic) expressed her appreciation to EY Malaysia and SAP in stepping up for Malaysia during this critical time in the nation’s battle against the Covid-19 pandemic.

“We are heartened by the support extended by organisations such as EY and SAP that have helped the GDRN-led effort to improve our relief and support for MoH and other humanitarian assistance in a coordinated and streamlined manner,” said Shahira.

“We are confident that this collaborative spirit and collective effort within the private sector will continue to have a meaningful impact on the overall effort against Covid-19,” she added.

EY Asean advisory leader Chow Sang Hoe (pic) affirmed that the nation’s healthcare providers who are on the frontline need to be well-supported in their efforts to protect and save lives.

“We believe that the SAP application as implemented by EY will contribute greatly towards better coordinating the needs of the various government hospitals and facilities, including the distribution of personal protective equipment (PPE) such as masks and gloves,” said Chow.

Meanwhile, SAP Malaysia managing director Hong Kok Cheong (pic) said that intelligence and integration are key to a seamless supply chain and SAP is pleased to be providing its technologies to drive efficiency and effectiveness in facilitating better healthcare services.

On a global level, EY and SAP have announced a collaboration to provide agencies with a comprehensive set of services and solutions to meet the initial urgent and critical needs of governments.

These offerings are helping organisations take immediate action in the fight against COVID-19and are available to more than 90 countries worldwide. In addition, the services and solutions are provided in eight languages – English, Arabic, Italian, Spanish, Dutch, French, German, and Greek – through EY implementation and enablement services.

In a joint statement published recently, the organisations said: “Governments around the world are having to act quickly and decisively as they lead their citizens through uncertain times.”

“These solutions and services help governments quickly interact with their citizens at scale by providing a means of collecting and analysing data in real time. This allows them to take immediate action amid an ever-changing situation and bring immense benefit to their citizens during the current crisis.
