Glocomp Signs Partnership Agreement with Cybots Alliance APAC

Business

Glocomp Systems (M) Sdn Bhd recently made a breakthrough within the cybersecurity scene when it inked a partnership agreement with Cybots Alliance APAC.

Glocomp executive director Alex Liew described the partnership as a strategic move to make advanced cybersecurity solutions more accessible throughout Malaysia.

The agreement involves the distribution of Cybots Alliance Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning-based solutions. These state-of-the-art technologies help businesses better combat rising global threats in the digital space.

“In order to be effective, it is essential that cybersecurity practices stay ahead of attackers. Malaysian businesses can now have peace-of-mind as Cybots solutions are capable of detecting even Advanced Persistent Threat (APT) attacks,” said Liew.

Cybots’ comprehensive range of solutions branded as XENSOR, CYBERTOTAL, and CYCARRIER are more than capable of addressing adaptive threats.

“Cybots technologies work past traditional Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) methods toward a more streamlined approach,” Liew added. “Cybots is not only fast to deploy, but users are assured of expert protection 24/7 against even the most sophisticated attacks.”

Building a Potent Wall of Defense

By combining various Cybots solutions, companies can gain in-depth cybersecurity defence at all stages of the security blueprint. These come as long-term value propositions that reduce the risk of unnecessary investments that are ineffective or inefficient.

“Our value proposition is the assurance of a proactive defence plan that includes conclusive actionable insights reports and comprehensive remediation plans,” said Cybots executive vice president Rodney Lee.

The agreement was witnessed by Cybersecurity Malaysia CEO Dato’ Dr Amirudin Abdul Wahab who praised Glocomp for their efforts in supporting Malaysia’s aspirations to transform into a more wholesome Digital Economy.

“As businesses in Malaysia move rapidly towards borderless trade, we face unprecedented threats in cybersecurity. Partnerships like today’s between Glocomp and Cybots bring significant advantages to the table for all parties,” said Dr Amirudin.

Understanding Advanced Cyberthreat at the Enterprise Scale

Liew said that “with Malaysian businesses rapidly digitising, there is an urgent need to move past the small business mindset of basic cybersecurity”.

“It is no longer sufficient to safeguard valuable corporate and customer data with consumer-grade security solutions,” he said.

“This is especially true given the highly accessible enterprise solutions brought to the table by Glocomp and Cybots. While cost may be a small step above consumer licensing, it is a small one compared to potential business, financial and reputational losses.”

Meanwhile, Cybots Chairman and CEO Caleb Gau said that the company’s comprehensive suite of cybersecurity solutions have been adopted by multiple government agencies, financial institutions and data-sensitive organisations throughout the world.

“The intelligent nature of Cybots solutions reduces not only technological risk but also risks that may arise from human capital, thereby protecting organisations with effective cybersecurity countermeasures and defence,” said Gau.
