Malaysian Nanotech Companies Join Nanotech 2020 Japan

NanoMalaysia Berhad continues to re-energise industries and innovation through successful development and commercialisation of nanotechnology in Malaysia by presenting Malaysian nanotech companies at Nanotech 2020. The NanoMalaysia – MIDA Malaysia Pavilion was launched today by the ambassador of Malaysia to Japan, Dato’ Kennedy Jawan at Tokyo Big Sight, Japan.

After making its debut last year, the Malaysia Pavilion this year once again showcased Malaysian companies offering nanotechnology products jointly commercialised by NanoMalaysia or certified by NanoVerify Sdn Bhd (a subsidiary of NanoMalaysia). Among the companies participating at Nanotech 2020 include Nanopac (M) Sdn Bhd, Pulsar UAV Sdn Bhd, MNA Energy Sdn Bhd, InLazer Sdn Bhd, Airestec Sdn Bhd and Hijrah Nature Herbs (M) Sdn Bhd. This year, the Malaysian Investment Development Authority (MIDA) is also present at the Pavilion.


Prof. Emeritus Dato’ Ir. Dr Mohamad Zawawi Bin Ismail, Chairman of NanoMalaysia, NanoMalaysia’s Chief Executive Officer, Dr Rezal Khairy Ahmad, and Puan Surayu Susah, Director, Chemical & Advanced Materials Division, MIDA, also attended today’s launch.

Dr Rezal said that “Nanotech 2020 Japan is an incredible platform for NanoMalaysia’s industry partners to introduce their nanotechnology products to the global market, as well as to expand their network, seeks out investments and find ways to improve their products. Nanotechnology continues to provide efficient and enhanced solutions to various applications in smart living, smart manufacturing, precision agriculture, clean energy and environmental preservation. NanoMalaysia has identified that the “Internet of Nano-Things” or IoNT, will be the core driver of the 4th Industrial Revolution, catalysing revolutionary changes in the industry, business and society. This is reflected in our REVOLUTIoNT initiative, which we aim to launch this year,”

Nanotech 2020 marks the 19th edition of the event and is considered the world’s premier nanotechnology exhibition. Five hundred organisations from over 21 countries are exhibiting this year, and over 50,000 visitors are expected to attend the event over three days.
