Industry Leaders to Discuss Innovative Ideas In Conference

The leading names in the project management fraternity will converge virtually at the inaugural International Project Management Conference (IPMC) to exchange insightful knowledge and ideas on the theme ‘Beyond Projects – Embracing the New Era’. Hosted by PETRONAS, this online event is poised to become the first and biggest virtual experiential project management conference and exhibition in Asia Pacific. It is scheduled to take place from 1 – 2 December 2020.

With two Keynote Sessions, two Panel Sessions and six Parallel Sessions featuring 36 top-selected technical papers, IPMC 2020 will offer insights into the implementation of technology, digitalisation and innovation in project management as well as other agile approaches for a more efficient and effective delivery of projects.

Christopher Wiernicki, Chairman, President and CEO of American Bureau of Shipping said, “Effective project management is the difference between success and failure. The latest insights into tools, technologies and processes, such as those available through IPMC, are the difference-makers.”

Wiernicki will be speaking in the Executive Panel Session at the online event. Joining him will be Omar Abbosh, Corporate Vice President, Cross-Industry Solutions, Microsoft Corporation, and Tracey Countryman, Industry X.0 Global Manufacturing & Operations Managing Director, Accenture, among others.

Also scheduled to grace the event are Dato’ Sri Fadillah Yusof, Malaysia’s Minister of Works, and Tengku Muhammad Taufik, PETRONAS President and Group CEO, who will deliver their opening and welcoming remarks respectively.

At the event, participants can look forward to an immersive 3D experience with gamification features, e-business matching and an engaging exhibition and networking environment. The IPMC will also support live video streaming and video on demand, allowing participants to enjoy 10 times the value at only 10% of the price of a physical event.


IPMC 2020 has the strong support of renowned project management associations such as PMI, the International Project Management Association (IPMA), Association for the Advancement of Cost Engineering International (AACEI) Region 8 and Malaysia Joint Branch Southern Chapter (MJBSC) of the Royal Institution of Naval Architects (RINA), the Institute of Marine Engineering, Science and Technology (IMAREST), the CIDB Malaysia and the DOSH.
